Nashville Travel Guide 2023

There’s just something about live music, great food and incredible hospitality that brings me back to Nashville every year. One of my most requested blog posts was a Nashville Travel Guide. So below you’ll find a complete list of my favorite places to stay, restaurants to eat at, and things to do on your next trip to Music City!

WHERE TO STAY

Best Hotel For Location

Renaissance Nashville Hotel - The last two times I’ve visited Nashville, I’ve stayed at The Renaissance Nashville Hotel. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure I would stay anywhere else because the location of this Marriott Hotel is just TOO DANG GOOD! The hotel is connected to the new 5th & Broadway shopping center, and just feet away from so many hot spots! Walking out… you have endless places to check out including: Hattie B’s Famous Chicken, the Twelve Thirty Club, The Nash Collection Shop, Ariat, STUDS and sooo much more! And if you walk about 20 more feet, you are quite literally on Broadway. It’s close to everything, and super convenient when you’re ready for bed at the end of the night.

Best Hotels with Rooftop Pools

Margaritaville Hotel Nashville - This hotel is one of my favorites if you’re looking for a fun rooftop pool. The entire hotel has a modern, beachy vibe. Not only is there a pool, but the hotel also features a rooftop bar/restaurant with live music every weekend. It’s also located a few streets down from Broadway, and definitely walk-able.

Westin Nashville - I’ve never personally stayed here, but all of the locals rave about the rooftop pool at the Westin. This luxury hotels features all of the amenities you could ever want. The only downside is that it isn’t walk-able to Broadway (but only a short Uber ride away).

Cute AirBnbs For Bachelorette Parties

The Nashville Dollhouse - The newest addition to Nashville AirBnBs literally constructed with bachelorette parties in mind! This 3 bedroom, 2 bath house is filled with all of the pink and floral details you could ever want. It holds up to 7 guests, and every inch of this space was meticulously picked for a fun photoshoot opportunity. Check out all of the details here.

The Nashville Oasis - Perfect for bigger parties! This four bedroom oasis sleeps 12 people and has a more modern vibe. I love the wings mural in the kitchen that doubles as a great photo backdrop. The bathrooms are nice and big for getting ready with your crew, and even features a cute patio for pre-gaming. Check out all of the details here.

The Nashville Pinky - The absolute cutest house for a smaller party of 4! Between the fun wallpaper and girly details… it would be hard not to have a good time! It features a full kitchen with pink velvet chairs and even a PINK refrigerator!!! I’m obsessed with every inch of this space. Check out all of the details here.

MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS & BARS

Restaurants & Fun Hot Spots To Check Out

  1. The Hampton Social - My personal favorite hot spot for a drink with the gals! I would recommend getting a reservation to have brunch or dinner, but the rooftop is available for walk-ins. It’s filled with girly details and tons of photo opportunities. If you’re with a big group of friends, order the guitar - it comes with 8+ shooters (try the white tea or lemon drop shooters) and sparklers!!!

  2. Twelve Thirty Club - This restaurant is co-owned by Justin Timberlake… need I say more? It has THE BEST BRUNCH in Nashville (IMO)! The drinks are too die for, and I’m a big fan of their avocado toast. After brunch, I highly recommend you check out the rooftop for another drink and good vibes. If you’re headed there for dinner, I would 1000% make a reservation as it fills up quickly. This place was also voted to have the “best espresso martini in Nasvhille.”

  3. Restoration Hardware Restaurant - The most stunning restaurant + AMAZING food! Located in the middle of a garden, this place just screams luxury! You literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I personally love to grab lunch/brunch here. It is an Uber ride away, but 100% worth it. I would highly recommend making a reservation for big groups.

  4. Blanco Cantina - The yummiest Mexican food located in the super popular 5th & Broadway center. Love grabbing dinner here before a night out (open until 11pm). Highly recommend the short rib bowl and espresso martini shooter!

  5. Hattie B’s - Nashville’s most infamous hot chicken! This place ALWAYS has a line out the door, but goes fast and SOOOO good! If you’re looking for a true blue Nashville meal, you found your spot.

  6. Bar Taco - A super well-known Nashville favorite. The best tacos + drink menu and located next to a ton of Nashville’s most iconic murals for fun photo opportunities. Great for dinner. Highly recommend making a reservation!

Bars

  1. White Limozeen - Technically a restaurant too, but I would recommend it for the (girly) atmosphere and drinks! Great for a bachelorette party. You can also make reservations for the pool area if you want a fun day drinking spot.

  2. LA Jackson Bar - Located in the Gulch, this bar overlooks the entire surrounding Nashville area. Grab a drink and small bites during happy hour, all while watching the sun set. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

  3. The Stage - A personal favorite bar located on Broadway! Three levels of live country music just speaks to my soul! Saturday nights are always my favorite.

  4. Ole Red - Another fav! This is Blake’s Shelton’s bar, and always features the best bands!

  5. Whiskey Row - 3 levels of party! If you’re with a big bachelorette party, this is a great place to buy a booth for your group. Always crowded, always fun and always has the best music! 1st and 3rd levels are country and the 2nd level turns into house music after 10:30pm.

  6. Live Oak Nashville - A local hot spot! We visited some local friends and stopped by to listen to up-and-coming artists sing/play acoustic. It was the highlight of our trip! A fun (and chill) Thursday night activity for large groups.

OTHER fun activities to DO

  1. Music City Crawler - Are you ready to pedal and sing your way through Nashville?! The Music City Crawler is a 15-passenger party bike, and a fun activity for any large groups visiting Nashville! Your ride is 1 hour and 30 minutes with drink specials to use at bars you stop off at along the way. And Did I mention brides and veterans ride for free?!

  2. The Nashville Tractor - Another SUPER fun activity to do with large groups. Hop on a literal tractor wagon and enjoy music, drinks and dancing along Nashville’s hot spots. A great daytime activity. I would highly recommend booking these in advance.

  3. Rustler Hat Co. - The OG hat making shop, and another fun activity to do in Nashville. I would recommend this for smaller groups, as the space is limited. Pick your hat, style, and color… and then customize it with ribbon, pins, your name… the list goes on! This was definitely a highlight of my trip last year, and the staff was super nice.

  4. STUDS - Calling all of my girlies who love living on the edge! STUDS is a well-known (upscale) piercing studio. I had the opportunity to get 2 piercings the last time I visited Nashville, and LOVED my experience. It’s located in the 5th & Broadway shopping center, and reservations are required.

  5. Grand Ole Opry - The ICONIC Grand Ole Opry is truly special! I would recommend looking up who is playing while you’re in Nashville. Filled with tons of history, and always a highlight of our trip. Nothing beats live music in one of the most famous country music hot spots.

  6. Country Music Hall of Fame - If you’re a country music fan, this is a must! The Country Music Hall of Fame is walkable from Broadway, and one of the largest museums dedicated the preservation of American country music, with rotating exhibitions highlighting some of your favorite stars.

  7. Amelia’s Flower Truck - the original vintage mobile flower truck is home to local blooms where you can pick up a quick bouquet or create your own!

  8. The Gulch - Another great outdoor shopping center featuring tons of stores (Kittenish, Vici, etc…) and yummy restaurants!

Overall, if you’re thinking about visiting Nashville in the near future, do it!! I hope you find this little run down helpful. Xx
